As they are a growing company with a strong track record of innovation, they recently have an open position for a Sales and Product Manager Chemicals for their subsidiary close to Brussels.

Description/Beschrijving

  • Develop and execute strategies for various product groups in close cooperation with the Management Team (MT), specifically tailored to the Belgium and Luxembourg chemicals distribution market.
  • Identify and evaluate new trading opportunities within the Belgium and Luxembourg region to expand market reach.
  • Negotiate and execute trades to secure optimal pricing and terms for our customers.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers across Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • Oversee the sales and distribution of inorganic chemicals within your assigned product group, consistently monitoring the market, responding to new trends, independently managing customer accounts, and ensuring continuous development and growth.
  • Willingness to travel within the region to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify potential areas for business development.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to management and clients, demonstrating the value of our products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve sales strategies and achieve targets.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and stay informed about market developments.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal sales processes and systems to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage risk and exposure, ensuring adherence to local regulations and compliance standards.

We are seeking a highly experienced Sales and Product Manager to join their team in the Belgium and Luxembourg region, where they will also participate in our European cooperation and market development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the chemical distribution industry, a comprehensive understanding of the global chemical markets, particularly in the Belgium and Luxembourg region, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills. In this role, you will be responsible for sales and procurement, as well as managing a portfolio of commodity chemicals for our customers in the region.

Profile/Profiel

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity trading, with a proven track record of success in generating profits
  • Strong understanding of the global chemical markets, with a particular focus on the Belgium and Luxembourg region
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in relevant financial modeling tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in French, Dutch, and English
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics, regulations, and compliance requirements in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Stress-resistant, with the ability to maintain high performance and make sound decisions under pressure
